Slight impressions from the edges of the embossing stamp or irregularities in the glaze are part of the making process. Since every mug is handmade, fired, embossed, sanded, glazed and fired again, there are differences in embossing depth, height and straightness. The bottom of the mug is embossed with the lettering "EULENSCHNITT" and a small heart.
