Creative and practical: How to build your own memo board
The DIY memo board is a great way to keep your memories, ideas and important information organised and in style. We'll show you how to make it yourself.
And this is how it's done:
First, plug in the hot glue gun to heat it up. Then take the metal wreath and the yarn. Put a little hot glue on the metal wreath and start with the yarn. Make sure you end up with both ends of the yarn in the back so that the front of the memo board looks nice.
Then pass the yarn over the wreath and fix it again with hot glue. Repeat this step until you have wrapped the entire wreath.
To achieve a beautiful weave, it is best to keep pulling the yarn through the wreath from top to bottom and from back to front when wrapping the metal wreath.
Now cut a long piece of yarn to make a matching loop at the top of the memo board.
Now do the same with the second metal wreath to complete the second part of the memo board.
To attach the memo boards to the wall, you will need a hammer and nails. Make a mark on the wall with a pencil to determine the exact position of the nails.
If you like, you can add ribbons to the bottom of the memo board. Use the same looping technique as for the top. Remember to cut the ribbons long enough.
To make your memo board even more individual, you can either attach shells to the ribbons or make a macramé knot. For the shells, simply tie some ribbons together at the bottom and then put hot glue in the shell to attach it to the ribbon ball.
To decorate the wooden pegs, you can stick tape on them. To do this, stick the tape on the clasp and cut off the excess tape with scissors. You can also use hot glue to attach shells to the clasp to make it even more individual.
Now your memo boards are finished and ready to be decorated with memories, beautiful cards or to-do lists. Have fun with it!
